Hi,

are the submissions restricted to already available tools, or are articles that cover research results (and prototypes) also welcome?

Best,
Robert

Here's a talk by Junction Point's Jeff Grills on how they cope with it there: http://filehost.perforce.com/downloads/media/userconftalks/2009/Junction_Point/junctionpoint.html
It sounds quite neat, and similar to what Philip Bloom is describing.

Please let me know if you're looking for a author for your weblog. You have some really great articles and I believe I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I'd really like to write some content for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please shoot me an e-mail if interested. Cheers!

We have two different repositories:
1. The "clean" one which everybody check out.
2. The "dirty" one where everybody commit.

The build bot tries to build and test dirty repo on every commit and if it succeeds, it pushes changes from dirty to clean repo. Of course, we have a source control system on top of existing one that allows doing such (and some other) things. If build or test fails, it sends mails and engineer that broke the build is responsible for fixing it. If it is not done in some period of time, others can revert-commit that changes.
